Keep tier-1 estates running.
Own the field, multi-OEM.
Multi-OEM hardware lifecycle work across server, storage, and network estates — with a 4-hour SLA tier on tier-1 systems and estates that run past OEM end-of-service-life on documented parts provenance. This is the practice the company was built on, now operating under managed agreements where the outcome, not the ticket, is the deliverable.
The estates behind this role.
WUC Technologies is a managed IT services partner — sharpest in healthcare services, where the flagship workloads are Epic/EHR hosting and radiology on Dell PowerScale and NetApp AFF storage. Savings cases the practice builds are structural: the same models behind the infrastructure savings calculator.
- Healthcare estates where the flagship workloads live: Epic/EHR hosting and radiology imaging on Dell PowerScale and NetApp AFF storage
- Multi-OEM fleets — Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, Cisco, IBM — under one agreement and one SLA framework
- Tier-1 critical-path systems on the 4-hour response tier
- Post-EoSL estates running on documented parts provenance
What you’ll own — and what it takes.
Responsibilities
- Own assigned estates end to end: proactive maintenance, break-fix response, and the documentation both leave behind
- Carry the 4-hour SLA tier on tier-1 systems — arrive prepared, resolve, and write it down
- Execute lifecycle work: installs, migrations, and decommissions with documented sanitization
- Maintain per-visit audit documentation to the standard regulated clients require
- Feed field telemetry and failure-pattern findings back to practice leads
- Mentor mid-level field engineers on multi-OEM discipline
Requirements
- 5+ years of multi-OEM field engineering across at least two of: Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, Cisco, IBM
- Hands-on depth across server, storage, and network hardware — not one silo
- Comfort operating past OEM end-of-service-life with parts-provenance discipline
- A documentation habit an auditor can read
- US or Canada work eligibility and willingness to travel to client sites
- Ability to clear a background check — every WUC engineer on client sites is background-checked
Nice to have
- Healthcare estate experience (Epic, PACS, clinical networks)
- Current OEM certifications on any major platform
- Regulated-industry exposure (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or federal environments)
The hiring process is four steps with documented entry criteria — application (response inside 5 business days), a 45-minute practice conversation, a field interview, and a transparent offer. The compliance practice documents operating work to NIST SP 800-53 and guidance from CISA. WUC Technologies is an equal opportunity employer.
