Translate estates into TCO.
Engineer the deal, honestly.

Run the pre-sales technical conversation with procurement officers and IT directors: model the TCO, translate multi-OEM estates into scoped work, and author SOWs for regulated-vertical engagements that delivery can actually execute. The savings cases you build are structural — the same models behind the public savings calculator — and your job is to make them true for one client at a time.

What You’ll Run

The estates behind this role.

WUC Technologies is a managed IT services partner — sharpest in healthcare services, where the flagship workloads are Epic/EHR hosting and radiology on Dell PowerScale and NetApp AFF storage. Savings cases the practice builds are structural: the same models behind the infrastructure savings calculator.

  • TCO models comparing OEM support stacks to consolidated multi-vendor agreements
  • SOWs for regulated-vertical engagements: healthcare, financial services, public sector
  • Multi-OEM estate assessments translated into scoped, priceable work
  • The technical half of procurement conversations from first call to signature
The Job

What you’ll own — and what it takes.

Responsibilities

  • Own technical discovery: inventory, support-contract archaeology, and estate mapping
  • Build TCO and savings models that survive a CFO's scrutiny
  • Author SOWs with scope, SLAs, and exclusions delivery can execute as written
  • Translate OEM-specific support language into multi-vendor equivalents
  • Partner with practice leads on solution design for regulated verticals
  • Keep the honesty bar: model what the evidence supports, decline what it does not

Requirements

  • 6+ years in pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, or technical procurement
  • Multi-OEM infrastructure literacy: server, storage, and network support models
  • Financial modeling depth — TCO, support-cost decomposition, savings attribution
  • SOW authoring experience with regulated-industry procurement processes
  • Comfort presenting to procurement officers and IT directors in the same meeting
  • Boston HQ presence preferred; remote considered

Nice to have

  • Third-party-maintenance market experience
  • Healthcare or public-sector procurement exposure
  • Familiarity with EoSL economics and parts-provenance models

The hiring process is four steps with documented entry criteria — application (response inside 5 business days), a 45-minute practice conversation, a field interview, and a transparent offer. The compliance practice documents operating work to NIST SP 800-53 and guidance from CISA. WUC Technologies is an equal opportunity employer.
